Categories of The Community Elites Scholarship

The Community Elites Scholarship is divided into two categories

Secondary Category

This category is designed for students at the secondary school level, specifically covering WAEC, JAMB and NECO fees, It aims to support students who demonstrate academic excellence and potential, but may be facing financial constraints that hinder their ability to sit for these exams.

Tertiary Category

This category targets students at the tertiary level, covering tuition fees for students in universities, polytechnics monotechnic, and colleges of education, It seeks to assist deserving students who are pursuing higher education and require financial support to complete their academic career.

Eligibility Criteria

Becoming an ELITE'S Scholarship Beneficiary: A Step-by-Step Guid

To qualify for the Community Elites Scholarship, applicants must meet the following eight conditions

Indigene of Opoji Community

Must be an indigene of Opoji Community recommended by the King or equivalent

O'Level Result

Must have an O'Level result in not more than 2 sittings (WAEC or NECO), one sitting is highly recommended.

JAMB Application

Must have applied for JAMB or obtain Direct Entry from JAMB incase of Diploma and HND students.

JAMB Score

Must score above 150, the higher the score the higher the chances of being shortlisted for the scholarship.

Demonstrate Financial Need

Must show genuine financial need, with family financial resources insufficient to cover educational expenses.

Age Requirement

Must be between the ages of 16 and 21 as of the application deadline with valid NIN supporting the age claim

JECO Cut-Off Mark

Must meet up OMOKHODION'S cut-off mark. The cut-off mark are dynamic and not static, it could change by each year.

Admission into a Public Institution

Must be admitted into a public institution in Nigeria (State or Federal).

CRUCIAL

Disqualification Criteria

Beneficiaries of the Community Elites Scholarship will be disqualified if they

Score below 2.5 CGPA after the first year Beneficiaries are expected to maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.5 after their first year of study. Failure to meet this academic standard may result in disqualification from the scholarship program.

Are expelled or rusticated from their institution Any beneficiary who is expelled or rusticated from their institution due to academic or disciplinary reasons will be disqualified from the scholarship program. This includes any form of suspension or termination of studies.

Engage in social vices, including cultism, gang activity, smoking, or other forms of misconduct Beneficiaries are expected to uphold high standards of behavior and conduct. Engaging in social vices such as cultism, gang activity, smoking, or other forms of misconduct that may bring the scholarship program or institution into disrepute will lead to disqualification.

Fail to comply with scholarship rules and regulations Beneficiaries are expected to comply with the rules and regulations governing the scholarship program. Failure to do so, including non-disclosure of information or providing false information, may result in disqualification.

Are involved in any form of examination malpractice Beneficiaries who engage in examination malpractice, including cheating, plagiarism, or other forms of academic dishonesty, will be disqualified from the scholarship program.

Do not maintain continuous enrollment Beneficiaries are expected to maintain continuous enrollment in their institution. Any beneficiary who fails to do so without a valid reason may be disqualified from the scholarship program.
